
Our Role
Odyssey can be retained adviser to clients or one of our principals can be non-executive director. The role we take varies from client to client and depends on their requirements and how we can add value – each engagement is tailored to the specific situation.
Our role can include, for example:
- attending monthly board meetings and advising on agenda items accordingly
- reviewing and recommending on strategic options
- advising and assisting clients to implement strategic plans
- improving corporate governance
- identifying and recommending general business improvement initiatives
- reviewing the finance function and improving management information systems
- acting as interim finance director
- providing accounts function outsourcing including book keeping, management accounts and payroll services
- preparing and submitting year end statutory accounts
- acting as company secretary and dealing with Companies House and HMRC
- preparing personal and corporation tax computations and returns
- identifying tax planning opportunities and bringing in the experts to advise
- introducing new business opportunities
- introducing useful contacts from our extensive network and investor base
- providing ad hoc advice on a wide range of matters from HR and remuneration issues to publicity and dispute resolution
